Let your guests chip in

CampSuite is free for you. When a guest books online, we add a small £1.50 fee to their booking. You keep every penny of your pitch price.

Free£0 a month, for up to 100 pitches

It's genuinely free, not a trial. Your pitches, accommodation and glamping units all count towards the 100. Bigger than that? See the larger-park plan below.

  • The whole of CampSuite, with no limit on bookings
  • Bookings you take by phone, email, walk-in or at the gate are never charged
  • The £1.50 is our charge to the guest, it never touches your takings or your VAT
  • Nothing to pay while you're closed for the season

Put it on me instead

Rather your guests paid nothing extra? Cover it yourself with one set fee for every unit you let, the same for a grass pitch, a lodge or a glamping pod. You pay for the units you have, never for ones you don't.

Your money, your data

Move between the two whenever you like. Nothing is locked in.

Where your money goes

Your booking money is yours from the moment a guest pays. It never sits with us.

1

Your guest pays

They pay by card through your booking page, into your own Stripe account connected to CampSuite.

2

It is yours straight away

The full pitch price lands in your account. Even a January booking for August pays out to your bank the next working day, not at check-in.

3

We take our bit separately

On the free plan, the £1.50 is collected from the guest by us, on its own. It never comes out of your takings.

Is “free” really free? CampSuite charges you nothing. Card payments are handled by Stripe at their standard rate (about 1.5% + 20p), paid straight to them, the same as any online till. We don't add a penny on top. A personal or business bank account is fine, and we help you connect it in a few minutes.

What your guest sees at checkout

The fee is clearly ours, on its own line. It never looks like you have quietly put your pitch price up.

Honest and clearly labelled

Your regulars can see the £1.50 is a booking fee, not you charging more for the same pitch.

If a guest would rather not pay it, they can ring, email, or turn up at the gate, and there is never a fee.

Prefer no guest ever saw a fee? That is exactly what Put it on me is for, the line above simply disappears.

Everything CampSuite does, on every plan

Nothing is held back on the free plan. It is the full product, for up to 100 pitches. The only difference is who pays the £1.50, and whether your guests ever see a fee.

Closing for the winter?

Your website stays live all winter so you keep taking bookings for next season. Here is what happens to your bill while the gate is shut, and it is your choice.

On "Let your guests chip in"

Nothing to pay

You were never on a monthly, so closing costs you nothing. Any advance booking for next year just carries the small £1.50 guest fee as usual.

On "Put it on me"

You choose

Either pause your monthly and let winter bookings carry the small guest fee, or keep paying your usual rate so your guests never see a fee, even over winter. We email you before your plan starts up again in spring.

You set your own open and closed dates, and taking the odd winter tourer will not catch anyone out with a surprise charge. Deposits you have already taken sit safely in your own account throughout.

Founder-led

Built by someone who actually camps

CampSuite is founder-led. Rob Heeley started it in a motorhome, fed up with campsite software that was overpriced and overcomplicated. It's built and run here in the UK by a small team who stay on sites like yours, with a real person on the end of the phone when you need one.

It's free for up to 100 pitches, no card and no catch, so there's honestly no reason not to give it a go. Read our story →

Straight answers

Getting paid

Where does my booking money go, and when?
Guests pay into your own Stripe account, connected to CampSuite. The full pitch price is yours and pays out to your bank the next working day, even for a booking made months ahead. We never hold or pool your takings.
Is "free" really free, or is there a card fee?
CampSuite charges you nothing on the free plan, and it isn't a trial, it stays free for up to 100 pitches. Card payments are handled by Stripe at their standard rate (about 1.5% + 20p), paid straight to them, the same as any online card payment anywhere. We don't add anything on top.
Do I keep the full pitch price?
CampSuite keeps none of your pitch money. The only deduction on a card payment is Stripe's standard fee, exactly as it would be with any online till.
Do I need a business bank account?
A personal or business account is fine. We help you connect Stripe when you set up, and it takes a few minutes.

Your books and VAT

Whose £1.50 is it, for my books?
It's our charge to the guest, not yours. It never passes through your account or your takings, so it stays off your books completely, nothing for you to record, raise or reclaim.
Do I get an invoice for what I pay you?
Yes. Anything you pay us comes with a clear monthly invoice, ready to download whenever you need it for your records.
Will my takings still reconcile?
Yes. Because the £1.50 never enters your Stripe balance, your payouts equal your pitch takings to the penny.
Is the per-unit price with or without VAT?
The per-unit plan is £2 + VAT a unit, a set fee for every pitch, lodge or glamping unit, and the cap is £99 + VAT a month (that's £118.80 including VAT). The plan card shows both the VAT-included figure and the + VAT figure, so you always see exactly what leaves your account and what you can reclaim.

Refunds and cancellations

Is the £1.50 refundable if a booking is cancelled?
The £1.50 is a one-off fee the guest pays when they book online, and it isn't refundable. If a booking might not stick, or you'd rather a guest wasn't charged at all, take it yourself by phone, email, walk-in or at the gate, where there is never a fee.
Is the £1.50 charged per booking, or per night or per pitch?
One flat £1.50 per online booking, however many nights, pitches or people. If a guest pays a deposit online and the balance at the gate, it's charged just once, on the deposit.
Who handles a chargeback or dispute?
Because payments run through your own Stripe, a dispute works like any card payment you'd take. We help you put the evidence together and never add a charge of our own.

Your contract and your data

Am I tied in?
No. It's rolling monthly, with no minimum term and no cancellation fee. Stop whenever you like.
If I leave, can I take my guest list with me?
Yes. Export your bookings and full guest list to a spreadsheet in one click, any time. It's your data.
What if I leave, or CampSuite disappears?
Your bookings and deposits sit in your own Stripe and your own records, so they stay valid and refundable whatever happens to us. You're never locked in through your guests' money.

Getting started

How long until I'm taking bookings?
Most small sites are taking bookings the same afternoon, once your pitches, prices and Stripe connection are in. Bigger parks we help set up over a few days.
Will you move my existing bookings across?
Yes. We import your current bookings and guest list and give you a hand getting going, with safeguards so nothing gets double-booked during the change.
Is there a setup or joining fee?
No setup or joining fee. Email confirmations and reminders are included. Text reminders are optional if you want them.
Do I have to give card details to start?
No. The free plan is the full product, free for up to 100 pitches, with no card needed and no time limit. If you ever choose "Put it on me" to cover the guest fee yourself, that's the only point you'd add a card.

Day to day, your team and your guests

Does it work on my phone at the gate?
Yes, in any phone or tablet browser, with no app to install. Take a booking or check today's arrivals from the field. Where signal is patchy, load the day's list before you head out.
Can my warden and family have their own logins?
Yes, unlimited logins at no extra cost, with roles so staff can see the diary without seeing the takings.
I run more than one park.
Each park makes its own free-or-paid choice and has its own calendar, and you switch between them with a single login.
Do my pods and lodges cost the same as a grass pitch?
Yes, that's the whole idea. Every bookable unit is the same set fee, so a grass pitch, a hardstanding, a lodge and a glamping pod all count the same £2 + VAT, which makes a high-value lodge your best value. And the £1.50 guest fee is flat per booking whatever the price, so a £500 lodge still adds just £1.50.
Some of my regulars won't book online.
That's fine. Phone and gate bookings stay free and take seconds to enter, and your own card machine still works as now. Online just catches the bookings that come in when you're not by the phone.
Is my guests' card data safe, and who's responsible for it?
Card payments are handled by Stripe (bank-grade and PCI compliant) and we never store card numbers. For your guest details, you're the data controller and we're your processor under a standard agreement, with data held in the UK and never sold.
