Airbnb dates blocked automatically, both ways
CampSuite™ swaps calendar feeds with Airbnb. A booking on either side closes those dates on the other, so your pods, cabins and unique stays are never sold twice.
What the Airbnb integration does
Airbnb is where a lot of guests find glamping pods, cabins, shepherd's huts and the more unusual places to stay, guests who would never think to search a campsite listing site. If you rent out that kind of accommodation, being on Airbnb is usually worth it.
It is also the classic double-booking trap. Airbnb keeps its own calendar, your diary keeps yours, and the two drift apart the moment either takes a booking. Manually blocking dates twice works right up until the evening you forget.
The connection closes that gap with iCal, the calendar standard Airbnb supports. CampSuite™ publishes a feed of your booked dates for Airbnb to read, and reads Airbnb's feed in return, so both sides know what is gone. You set it up on the Channels screen, next to Pitchup, Campsites.co.uk and Hipcamp.
Airbnb is a marketplace for places to stay, widely used for glamping pods, cabins and unusual accommodation. This page explains how it connects to CampSuite™. The listing, guest messaging, payouts and fees are Airbnb's own.
No more blocking dates twice
An Airbnb booking closes those dates in CampSuite™, and a CampSuite™ booking closes them on Airbnb. Neither calendar has to be updated by hand.
Right for pods, cabins and huts
Airbnb guests are shopping for the unusual. Your glamping units can be listed there while still living in the same diary as your pitches.
Nothing new to learn
It is a calendar link, not a new system. Connect it once on the Channels screen and it keeps running quietly in the background.
How it works
List your unit on Airbnb
Set up the pod, cabin or hut on Airbnb with its own photos, price and house rules.
Connect the feeds in CampSuite
On the Channels screen, add the iCal connection: copy your CampSuite™ feed into Airbnb, and Airbnb's feed into CampSuite™.
Point it at the right unit
Link the feed to the specific accommodation in CampSuite™ so the blocked dates land on the right pod, not the whole site.
Leave it running
Both calendars refresh on their own from then on. Nothing to remember on a busy changeover day.
Information exchanged
An iCal connection is deliberately simple: it moves dates, not money or guest records. Here is exactly what that means:
| Booked dates, out to Airbnb | CampSuite™ publishes a calendar feed of the dates that unit is booked or blocked, so Airbnb stops offering them. |
|---|---|
| Booked dates, in from Airbnb | CampSuite™ reads Airbnb's calendar and blocks those dates on the matching accommodation in your diary. |
| Rates stay separate | iCal does not carry prices. You set your Airbnb pricing in Airbnb, and your direct pricing in CampSuite™. |
| Guests, payments and messages stay in Airbnb | Airbnb bookings are Airbnb's: guest details, messaging and payouts stay on their side. CampSuite™ knows the dates are taken. |
What an iCal connection can and cannot do
Worth knowing the difference, because it shapes how you use it. Pitchup, Campsites.co.uk and Hipcamp connect to CampSuite™ directly: rates go out, and bookings come in as real bookings with guest details attached. Airbnb connects by calendar feed, which moves one thing only: which dates are taken.
So an Airbnb booking shows in your diary as blocked dates on that unit, not as a booking with a guest record, an invoice and a balance. You will still greet the guest and get their details from Airbnb, and the money still arrives through Airbnb. What you get is the important half: those nights cannot be sold again by anyone.
One practical note. Calendar feeds refresh periodically rather than the instant a booking is made, so there is a small window where two very-last-minute bookings could collide. If you sell the same pod on Airbnb and direct, it is worth leaving a little headroom on same-day availability, or keeping same-day bookings to one route. Everything from tomorrow onwards looks after itself. If you would rather not think about it at all, direct bookings through your own booking page are instant, commission-free, and give you the full guest record.

Airbnb integration FAQs
Does CampSuite sync with Airbnb?
Yes, through a two-way iCal calendar feed. CampSuite™ publishes your booked dates for Airbnb to read and reads Airbnb's calendar in return, so both sides block the same nights.
Will it stop double bookings between Airbnb and my own site?
For everything but the very last minute, yes. Calendar feeds refresh periodically rather than instantly, so leave a little headroom on same-day availability if you sell the same unit both ways.
Do Airbnb bookings come in as full bookings?
No. An iCal feed only carries dates, so Airbnb reservations appear as blocked dates on that unit. Guest details, messaging and payment stay in Airbnb. Direct channels like Pitchup do bring full bookings in.
Does it sync my prices to Airbnb?
No. iCal carries availability only. You set Airbnb pricing in Airbnb and your direct pricing in CampSuite™.
Can I use it for glamping pods and cabins?
That is the usual reason to use it. Each pod, cabin or hut can have its own listing and its own calendar link, matched to the accommodation in your diary.
Does it work with other sites too?
Yes. Any site that supports iCal can be connected the same way: Booking.com, Vrbo, or your own spreadsheet-era calendar.
