Customer story · Marina, motorhome parking and glamping, Co. Fermanagh

Motorhome pitches, glamping lodges and self-catering holiday accommodation on one booking page. We set it up.

Gail Clarke is the owner and manager of Knockninny Marina on the shores of Upper Lough Erne. Alongside the private marina, operational since 2004, the business offers motorhome parking, glamping lodges and self-catering holiday accommodation. Guests can book any of these stays along with add-ons such as a boat launch on the private slipway, extra cars, pets and extra guests, and the CampSuite team helped set the booking system up in one place.

A marina with places to stay, beside Lough Erne's first hotel

Knockninny sits on the shore of Upper Lough Erne in County Fermanagh, about 90 minutes by road from Belfast and from Dublin. Knockninny Country House was Lough Erne's first hotel. The marina beside it has floating pontoon berths, boat lifting facilities, a boat yard and workshop, and a private slipway.

There are four ways to stay. Motorhomes and campervans park on hardstanding pitches, certified by Total Motorhome Ireland. Birchwood and Fairline are two glamping lodges three minutes' walk from the shore, and The Old Boathouse is the hotel's original boathouse, built in 1854 and now a four-bedroom holiday home.

"Think Old World Allure meets Modern Day Comfort." From The Old Boathouse page on knockninny.com.

It works for the marina as well. Berth holders whose boats are out on the hardstand can stay on site while the work is done, in their own motorhome or in one of the lodges.

The slipway is on the booking page too

Knockninny is a marina, and Gail found that residents and guests also wanted to bring their small craft, so she added slip and launch to the booking system. Whatever they stay in, guests can add a launch and retrieve for a boat up to 25ft or a jetski, and secure storage for the trailer in the boat yard. It all goes on the same booking, easy to use and hassle-free for the guest.

Now guests can add slip and launch for their small craft when they book. I know a boat's coming before it turns up, and our guests aren't worrying about whether they can launch. Win, win.

We set it up for her

Our team built Knockninny's booking page: the pitches, the lodges and The Old Boathouse, the seasons and prices, and the extras for boats, jetskis, trailers and cars. The booking links on knockninny.com and knockninnymarina.com both open it. When Gail wants something changed, she asks and we change it.

I didn't have to learn any settings. Rob set it all up, and if I want something changed, I just ask.
Gail Clarke, Knockninny Marina

This winter the motorhome parking will stay open, without electric hook-up (EHU), at £20 a night. Motorhomes can still expect grey water disposal, fresh water and secure gated, barrier-controlled parking. All other accommodation is bookable online.
